About this opportunity
The Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC) is seeking to procure 500 vibrating alarm watches to comply with ADA directives for individuals in custody who are certified hard of hearing. The Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) outlines the minimum specifications for the watches, including a large display, strong vibration and sound, multiple alarms, countdown timer, waterproof up to 30 meters, and fitting wrists 6 to 8.5 inches. Bids are due on March 1, 2024, with delivery required by March 15, 2024. The BOA has a term of June 28, 2024, and IDOC reserves the right to order additional quantities at the awarded bid price for 15 days after contract execution. Pricing must be provided on a per unit basis, with no partial orders accepted.
The procurement is open to all qualified vendors, but the State of Illinois has preferences for vendors registered in the Illinois Comptroller's Minority Contractor Initiative. Prevailing wage requirements may apply depending on the nature of the work, and vendors must provide insurance coverage. The State retains the right to terminate the contract for convenience or due to lack of appropriation. Vendors must comply with the Illinois Prompt Payment Act and the State's Standard Terms and Conditions for state and local contracts.
