The Illinois Department of Corrections is requesting bids for 28 countertop medical pharmacy refrigerators with alarms under a Basic Ordering Agreement, with bids due May 18, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. CST and deliveries required by June 30, 2026.

The scope specifies 4.5 gross cubic feet capacity refrigerators with digital temperature control (35.6°F to 46.4°F), digital humidity display, auto defrost, interior dimensions of approximately 19.8 inches length by 19.5 inches width by 24.4 inches height, safety locks, data logging, and multiple alarm functions (low, high, ambient, power failure, sensor failure, and door ajar alerts). Units must include a built-in 240-hour backup battery, white finish, and standard NEMA 5-15P plug type. All 28 units must ship in whole; partial orders are not accepted. Pricing is quoted as a one-time charge per unit with F.O.B. destination delivery, including all transportation and handling costs paid by the contractor.

The contract value is under $50,000 and is classified as a small purchase procurement. The contract term begins upon signature and ends June 30, 2026. The Illinois Department of Corrections reserves the right to award in whole or in part and may order additional quantities at the awarded bid price for 15 days after contract execution. Deliveries are accepted Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., excluding state holidays, to the facility's warehouse receiving dock. Vendors must submit a completed and signed BOA with bid information via the BidBuy system or email. Standard Illinois procurement terms apply, including prevailing wage compliance where applicable, $1,000,000 general commercial liability insurance per occurrence, and a 12-month warranty on all supplies with manufacturer's warranties transferred to the State. The State will not pay for supplies or services incurred prior to contract execution.
