UNSPSC 41103004: Fan circulated ovens

UNSPSC 41103004 Fan circulated ovens (Commodity) does not match the work actually being solicited under this code in recent state and local opportunities. The recent-opportunities block shows no solicitations for fan circulated ovens or any equipment bearing a functional relationship to the code's nominal scope. The opportunities tagged under this code include roof replacement (City of Madison), classroom furniture and supplies (Region 7 Purchasing Cooperative), water quality sampling and laboratory analysis (Texas General Land Office), countertop pharmacy refrigerators with alarms (Illinois Department of Corrections), law enforcement equipment (Sourcewell), medical-grade refrigeration units and vaccine data loggers (Illinois Department of Corrections), and emergency freezer and refrigerator truck rentals (City of Tucson). While two of the seven opportunities involve refrigeration equipment, neither is a fan circulated oven; the pharmacy refrigerators and medical-grade units are purpose-built for pharmaceutical and vaccine storage, not convection cooking or food service. The code shows little relevant recent activity in state and local procurement.

The mismatch between the code's stated commodity and the diversity of unrelated solicitations suggests either tagging error or upstream data quality issues in the source system. State and local buyers pursuing contracts under this code should verify the actual commodity classification before investing bid resources, as the current tagging does not reflect a coherent procurement category.
