About this opportunity

Collier County Parks & Recreation Division is requesting quotes for FY27 Playground Inspection Services via informal Quick Quote competition, with quotes due June 30, 2026, and a non-mandatory pre-bid meeting via WebEx on June 16.

The scope covers safety inspections on playground equipment at 30 park facilities throughout Collier County, with inspectors required to hold current certification from the National Playground Safety Institute or National Recreation and Park Association. Inspections are conducted on an as-requested basis with final scheduling determined by the County's Project Manager. Inspectors must evaluate compliance against current ASTM standards, CPSC guidelines, ADA requirements, and Florida Child Care Standards, delivering detailed written audit reports within 15 days of each inspection. Award is made to the responsive vendor submitting the lowest quote on a per-inspection basis for each of the 30 park locations.

The purchase order term runs October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2027, with prices remaining firm throughout. Per-inspection pricing must be submitted using the County's specified units of measure and will be evaluated location by location.

Vendors must carry Commercial General Liability of $1 million single limit per occurrence and $2 million aggregate, Worker's Compensation at Florida statutory limits, Employer's Liability of $100,000, and Automobile Liability of $500,000 — all naming Collier County Board of County Commissioners as additional insured. Evidence of insurability is due within five days of award notification. Vendors must provide proof of Florida incorporation, W-9, E-Verify enrollment documentation, and required professional licenses; accept all County purchase order terms without modification; and comply with background-check and bonding requirements. Questions are due June 25, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. Submission is electronic through https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/collier-county-fl. The contract is a repeat procurement with specifications unchanged from the 2024 solicitation.
