About this opportunity

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Five is seeking price proposals for fuel storage tank cleaning services at seven locations throughout the district, including facilities in Brevard, Deland, Leesburg, Ocala, Orlando, Oviedo, and Sanford. The scope of work includes cleaning 10,000-gallon aboveground storage tanks (ASTs), emergency diesel generator tanks ranging from 238 to 2,350 gallons, and two 7,800-gallon underground storage tanks (USTs). Contractors will be responsible for removing contaminants and disposing of waste in accordance with local, state, and federal procedures. Bidders must meet minimum qualifications, including 3 years of experience providing similar services. Bids are due by March 21, 2023 at 10:00 AM, and the contract term is anticipated to begin on or around March 31, 2023, with services to be completed by May 1, 2023. The contract will not be renewed. The Department will award the contract to the responsive and responsible bidder with the lowest total bid price.

The ITB encourages small, minority, women, and service-disabled veteran businesses to compete. It includes provisions for a drug-free workplace preference and prohibits contracting with scrutinized companies. Payments will be subject to a 1% MyFloridaMarketPlace transaction fee. The ITB does not list any incumbent vendors or current contractors, and the budget range is not specified. However, the Department has issued an addendum revising the bid price proposal form and requiring bidders to acknowledge receipt of the changes prior to the bid submission deadline.
