Bidding is divided into four trade categories: General Trades, Mechanical, Electrical, and Roofing.

Mandatory pre-bid conferences and site visits are scheduled for September 9, 2026 (Mechanical and Electrical at 7:00 AM) and September 10, 2026 (General Trades and Roofing at 7:00 AM), both at Salk Elementary School, 17601 15 Mile Road, Clinton Township, Michigan. Electronic bids are submitted via BuildingConnected with a public bid opening on September 22, 2026 at 12:00 PM. Bidding documents dated June 22, 2026, are available beginning September 8 through Barton Malow Builders' site office, BuildingConnected, and CAM/Plan rooms. Addendum #2, scheduled for release September 23, will include pre-bid RFI responses, a structural steel package, and scope clarifications.

Successful bidders must furnish Performance Bond, Payment Bond, and Certificates of Insurance. The contract will be executed under AIA Document A132-2019. Bid prices must remain firm for 90 days following receipt. State sales and use taxes must be included in all bids.
