About this opportunity
The State of Nevada is procuring Fire Fuels Reduction and Vegetation Management Services - Ground Only through a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) process. The contract will cover a range of services including forest management hand crew services, large tree removal, pesticide application, seed application, hauling, controlled fire, road construction/maintenance, project planning, risk assessments, targeted grazing, and natural/cultural resource surveys. Vendors must demonstrate relevant experience, qualifications, and equipment capabilities to perform the specified services. Project work will be assigned through individual scopes of work, and vendors must provide unit pricing for the service components. The contract term is anticipated to begin on May 14, 2024, subject to Board of Examiners approval, with an option to renew for two additional years. The State may provide some materials or vendors may be required to supply them, and vendors may be able to generate revenue from byproduct sales.
The State intends to award multiple contracts to establish a pool of qualified vendors from which state agencies, the University and Community College System, Court System, Legislative Counsel Bureau, and Political Subdivisions can request bids on an as-needed basis. The contract does not hold awarded vendors to any set prices, nor does it obligate the State to purchase services from all awarded vendors. The purchase amount will be controlled by the individual using agencies through a purchase order process. No set-asides or incumbent vendors are specified, and the contract value is not disclosed.
