About this opportunity
The State of Nevada Department of Administration Purchasing Division has issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for Fire Fuels Reduction and Vegetation Management Services. The RFQ seeks proposals from qualified vendors to provide a wide range of forestry and vegetation management services across the state, including fuels reduction, tree thinning, wildlife habitat improvement, erosion control, large tree removal, aerial seeding, pesticide application, road construction and maintenance, project planning, risk assessments, targeted grazing, aerial application of seeds and chemicals, and surveys and monitoring for natural and cultural resources. Vendors must provide evidence of required employee knowledge and skills, and pricing will be determined on a project-by-project basis, with vendors required to provide unit prices for various services. The initial contract term is four years, with an option to renew for two additional years.
This RFQ is open to all qualified vendors, with no set-asides or incumbents identified. Funding for projects will be provided by the individual using agencies. The total contract value is not to exceed the specified amount, and vendors may be required to provide performance security in the form of a surety bond, certificate of deposit, or treasury note. The RFQ does not hold awarded vendors to any prices, nor does it obligate the State to purchase goods or services from all awarded vendors. Instead, using agencies will request bids on an as-needed basis from the list of qualified vendors.
