About this opportunity

The City and County of San Francisco, through the General Services Agency Real Estate Division, is conducting a continuous solicitation for specialty-licensed contractors to provide elevator and escalator inspection, maintenance, and repair services under San Francisco Administrative Code Section 6.65. This is an "if-and-as-needed" procurement in which qualified contractors may be awarded master agreements with terms not-to-exceed five years. Interested contractors must submit a cover letter and supporting documentation demonstrating their expertise, experience, and quality of work to the Contract Manager at 25 Van Ness Avenue, Suite 400, San Francisco, CA 94102. The solicitation was posted on June 29, 2020, with a due date of July 1, 2030. All work must comply with the City's insurance, bonds, indemnity, and prevailing wage requirements for public work. When work becomes available, at least three special service contractors will be invited to submit competitive quotations, with the lowest responsive quotation typically receiving the Contract Service Order (CSO).

The solicitation includes special optional requirements for contractors seeking to provide services to hospitals and health care facilities, who must demonstrate experience with the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD) and provide relevant references, and for those interested in serving locked and secure facilities, who must provide experience documentation with agencies such as the San Francisco Sheriff's Department and submit evidence of documented security clearances. No specific set-aside designations or disadvantaged enterprise requirements are explicitly mentioned in the provided materials. The solicitation does not identify incumbent vendors or current contractors, nor does it specify budget ranges or award values, as compensation will be determined through competitive quotations submitted for individual work orders as services become needed.
