Sarasota County is issuing a Quick Quote solicitation for one-time outdoor public trash receptacle sanitation services in the Englewood Main Street Overlay District along W Dearborn Street, spanning from the N Indiana Avenue intersection to the Harbor Lane intersection. The scope of work encompasses the cleaning and sanitization of thirty-five trash containers, including interior and exterior surfaces and lids, using water and disinfectant solutions. Specific deliverables include immediate cleanup of liquid leakage from plastic bags, removal of gum, stickers, and other materials from containers, and limited use of portable pressure washing equipment as necessary to achieve complete sanitation. Bidders must submit completed reference forms demonstrating relevant experience, a pricing proposal structured as a lump sum for all thirty-five containers, confirmation of compliance with the no-lobby affirmation requirement, and legal entity documentation. The county will evaluate bids based on responsive and responsible bidder criteria, with award made to the lowest total bid price. Questions must be submitted by May 20, 2026 at 3:00 PM, and completed bid responses are due electronically by May 22, 2026 at 3:00 PM. No bidders' conference or mandatory site visit is specified in the solicitation.
The solicitation does not reference specific set-aside designations or restrictions on bidder eligibility based on business classification or disadvantaged enterprise status. No incumbent contractor or current vendor is identified in the available documents. Standard Sarasota County purchase order terms and conditions apply, requiring bidders to comply with Florida law, E-Verify requirements, maintain required insurance, assume indemnification obligations, and acknowledge public records provisions. The contract includes a maximum bid threshold of $50,000 for the lump sum sanitation service, with the county retaining discretionary authority to purchase additional quantities at the quoted unit price for thirty days following award and potentially extending up to one year post-award, provided total purchases do not exceed the $50,000 maximum. The exact award value will be determined by the lowest responsive bid submitted.
