About this opportunity

The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) is issuing an emergency extension contract for the continued operation of the Illinois Hospital Report Card/Consumer Guide to Health System website. This website is critical to fulfilling the mandates of the Illinois Hospital Report Card Act and the Illinois Health Finance Reform Act, as it provides important health and safety information to the public. The services to be provided under this contract include data consolidation, standardization, and management; technical and quality analytics; software upgrades; data backup; data analysis and reporting; geographic mapping; and compliance with state reporting requirements. The original emergency contract was awarded to Island Peer Review Organization (IPRO), who has provided these services for over 8 years without incident. The extension is needed to avoid disruption in these critical state services before a new competitive procurement can be completed.

IPRO has been selected as the sole source vendor for this extension due to their ownership of the system's source code and their history of providing these services. The extension will run from December 28, 2021 through March 31, 2022 at an estimated cost of $55,014, with funding coming from state appropriated funds. No additional set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond are mentioned in the provided documents. A public hearing will be held on December 22, 2021 to discuss the proposed emergency extension contract.
