About this opportunity
Eagle Mountain City is seeking proposals for the construction of a 4 Million Gallon AWWA D115 pre-stressed water tank located east of Pole Canyon Boulevard in Utah County. The project encompasses excavation, tank construction, access road development, and site piping as detailed in the attached plans and specifications. Contractors must be qualified pre-stressed AWWA D115 specialists, specifically those with a proven track record of completing at least three prestressed tanks of 2 million gallons or larger. A mandatory pre-bid meeting and site walk is scheduled for August 14, 2025, at 2:00 pm in the EMC Public Works upstairs conference room. Sealed bids will be accepted until August 28, 2025, at 12:00 pm, with bid opening and review to follow immediately. Bidders are required to submit a 5% bid bond, provide insurance verification, and be prepared to post 100% performance and payment bonds upon contract award.
The procurement appears to have no specific set-aside designations or restrictions on organizational types, suggesting open competition for qualified contractors. No incumbent vendors or existing infrastructure details are explicitly mentioned in the provided documentation. Bidders must submit comprehensive documentation including a cover letter with contact information, enabling the city to notify vendors of bid results via email. While a specific budget range is not disclosed, the scale of the project—involving a 4 million gallon water tank with associated infrastructure—suggests a significant capital investment. The comprehensive project manual and construction drawings (totaling over 20MB) indicate a complex engineering project with detailed technical specifications. Contractors will need substantial technical expertise, financial stability, and previous experience with large-scale water infrastructure projects to successfully compete for this contract.
