DOF Helmets

This state and local contract opportunity from the Virginia Department of Forestry (DOF) is for the procurement of motorcycle helmets. The DOF is requesting bids for two specific helmet models - the Oneal Sierra II Helmet in flat black color and the HJC i30 Helmet in white. The DOF is ordering approximately 275 helmets total, with specific quantity requirements for each size from X-Small to XX-Large. No substitutions will be allowed unless specified by addendum. Bids must include per helmet pricing inclusive of shipping and delivery, to be submitted on the provided electronic pricing grid. The desired delivery timeframe is within 30 days of the purchase order, unless an extension is granted. Bids will be evaluated based on the lowest responsive and responsible cumulative bid price.

The contract will be awarded in accordance with the Small Business Set-Aside Award Priority for purchases over $10,000 up to $100,000 in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Certified micro and small businesses will be given priority, and if no reasonably priced bids are received from these businesses, the award may be made to the lowest priced bidder of any size that is responsive and responsible, as long as the price is fair and reasonable. The current incumbent contractor is not specified. The contract value is not provided, but the bid prices range from $32,100 to $102,300.
