About this opportunity

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide district-wide asbestos consultant services in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Hernando, and Citrus Counties. The selected vendors will be responsible for conducting asbestos surveys, developing Operations and Maintenance (O&M) plans, and providing abatement supervision and monitoring services for FDOT-owned buildings scheduled for demolition or sale. The contract term is anticipated to begin on August 8, 2023 and be in effect until August 7, 2028. The FDOT intends to award two contracts to the responsive and responsible vendors with the highest cumulative total points based on the evaluation criteria, which includes factors such as the vendor's business history, proposed staff qualifications, and technical approach. Proposals are due on June 26, 2023 by 9:00 AM local time, and the FDOT will hold public openings on June 26, 2023 and July 18, 2023 to review the technical and price proposals, respectively.

The FDOT encourages participation from Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) and will require the awarded vendors to report planned and actual DBE utilization. However, there are no set-asides or preferences in this solicitation. The total contract budget is $2,000,000, and the FDOT will authorize services and issue payment on a lump-sum basis per each Letter of Authorization. Vendors must be registered in the State of Florida's MyFloridaMarketPlace system and licensed to conduct business in Florida. The FDOT has not provided information about any incumbent vendors or current contractors in the provided documents.
