About this opportunity
The City of Alpharetta in Fulton County, Georgia, is seeking statements of qualifications (SOQ) from companies capable of providing Disaster Recovery Services, with responses due by February 6, 2025. This procurement aims to develop a Call List of qualified vendors who can assist citizens and businesses during and after disaster events, with specific focus on victim assistance and property protection. Qualified companies must be licensed and approved to perform services such as securing property from additional damage, theft, vandalism, and trespass. The primary objective is to create a resource list of pre-vetted disaster recovery service providers that citizens can voluntarily utilize during emergency situations. While the City will distribute the Call List through the Fire Department, no contractual relationship will be established, and no work is guaranteed. Evaluation of submitted SOQs will be based on demonstrated qualifications and ability to provide comprehensive disaster recovery assistance.
The solicitation appears to be open to all qualified service providers without specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises. No incumbent vendors are mentioned, and there are no specified budget ranges or award values associated with this opportunity. The Call List approach indicates that individual citizens or businesses will directly engage and compensate selected vendors, with the City acting solely as a facilitator of potential service connections. Vendors interested in being included on the Call List must demonstrate proper licensing, professional capabilities in disaster recovery services, and readiness to support community needs during emergency scenarios. The procurement represents a flexible, non-binding approach to creating a resource network for disaster recovery support in the Alpharetta area.
Opportunity text
The City of Alpharetta is requesting statements of qualifications (SOQ) from companies qualified and licensed to provide Disaster Recovery Services in the State of Georgia. For the purposes of this RFQ, Disaster Recovery Services are defined as services provided by a properly licensed and approved company to provide victim assistance to our City¿s citizens and businesses during and after times of disaster and to protect personal and real property to include securing property from additional damage, theft, vandalism, or trespass. After evaluating responses received to the RFQ, our City intends to develop a Call List of all companies that have demonstrated themselves to be qualified. In the event of a disaster event where disaster recovery assistance may be needed for our citizens and businesses, the City of Alpharetta¿s Fire Department will provide the Call List to the affected citizens or businesses who then may choose a company from the list, if they so desire. Call List development will not create a contractual relationship with the City of Alpharetta, nor will the City be responsible for work provided by Disaster Recovery Service companies. The Call List will be offered to citizens or businesses, but there will be no obligation on behalf of citizens or businesses to use a company on the Call List. No amount of work is guaranteed.
