About this opportunity

The Georgia Department of Revenue cancelled its Request for Proposal for digital license plates (SPD-SPR014, Solicitation No. 47400-DOR0000123) on December 16, 2022, to allow additional time for vetting of the technology by the DOR and interested vendors.

The original solicitation sought a qualified supplier to provide electronic displays designed to present information equivalent to a metal license plate and mounted on the rear of vehicles in lieu of traditional plates, in accordance with Georgia Code 40-2-33. The cancellation was issued by Issuing Officer Vanessa Walker.

The DOR anticipates rebidding the project within six to twelve months following the December 16, 2022 cancellation date. Any future solicitation will be publicly published on the Georgia Procurement Registry. All vendors must respond to new bid forms and requirements for consideration in any subsequent solicitation. Materials submitted under the cancelled solicitation will remain closed until a Notice of Intent to Award is issued for the rebidding opportunity, at which point records will be made available in accordance with Section I.6 of the Georgia Procurement Manual.
