About this opportunity

Walton County is requesting quotations for complete demolition or removal by relocation of a three-story residence at 5505 W County Highway 30A, Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, under ITQ issued October 6, 2026, with responses due October 21 at 2:00 p.m.

The scope includes all labor, equipment, materials, permits, utility disconnections, foundation removal, debris disposal, site restoration, and final cleanup. Both full demolition and structural relocation methods are permitted, each subject to County approval and compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations. The work is limited to parcel 04-3S-20-34030-00G-0000; acquisition of an adjoining parcel does not expand this scope. Contractors must obtain and pay for all required permits and inspections, including Florida Department of Environmental Protection Coastal Construction Control Line permits and pre-demolition asbestos surveys conducted by licensed consultants. Coastal habitat protection requirements for beach mouse habitat and sea turtle nesting protection apply through October 31.

Work must be completed within 30 calendar days following issuance of the Purchase Order. The pricing proposal is structured as a single lump-sum line item. Contractors retain salvage rights to recovered materials, with anticipated salvage value reflected in quoted prices.

Upon award, contractors must provide proof of Florida general contractor licensure, liability insurance naming Walton County, workers' compensation coverage, a Walton County Demolition and Site Removal Certificate of Competency, and appropriate asbestos-related licenses if abatement is necessary. A site visit is encouraged but not mandatory. The project is funded through Tourist Development Tax revenues approved by the Board of County Commissioners on September 22, 2026. Current property photographs and a property appraiser report are available as attached reference documents.
