The contractor shall obtain and pay for all permits, inspections and approvals required to perform the work, including applicable Walton County demolition or removal permits.
The contractor shall specifically address the Florida Department of Environmental Protection Coastal

Before performing regulated work, the contractor shall obtain the required authorization or provide written FDEP confirmation that the proposed activity is exempt.
The contractor shall coordinate all required pre-demolition inspections and provide the County copies of applicable permits and approvals before beginning the affected work.
2.4 Asbestos Survey and Notification
The contractor shall obtain a pre-demolition asbestos survey prepared by a Florida-licensed asbestos consultant using appropriately qualified personnel. The survey shall identify suspect materials, sampling results, asbestos-containing materials and inspection limitations. Submit the completed report to the County before demolition or disturbance of suspect materials.
The contractor shall submit the required Notice of Renovation or Demolition to FDEP at least 10 working days before demolition and provide the County a copy and evidence of submission. Comply with applicable

If protected wildlife or suspected burrows are encountered, stop affected work and notify the County for agency coordination.
Sea turtle nesting season extends through October 31. Equipment access, operation, staging, lighting and work timing shall comply with applicable permit conditions and wildlife protection requirements. Coordinate any required monitoring through appropriately authorized personnel. Work scheduled after October 31 remains subject to protections for remaining nests and hatchlings.
Protect adjacent properties, public beach access points and dune structures throughout the project.
2.6 Final Site Conditions & Salvage Rights
Leave the site clean and free of construction debris. Restore disturbed areas to natural grade as authorized by applicable permits.
Level the disturbed work area only to the extent permitted. Do not flatten dunes, alter protected habitat or change drainage without authorization. Complete required restoration and repair damage caused by the contractor’s operations.
The contractor shall retain salvage rights to materials recovered during demolition or removal, subject to applicable environmental requirements and any items expressly designated by the County to remain.
