About this opportunity
The State of Georgia, through the Department of Public Health (DPH), is issuing an electronic Request for Proposals (eRFP) to establish a contract with one or more qualified suppliers to provide Custom Freight Services. The scope of work includes white glove delivery of medical equipment and supplies, with an estimated 10 or more shipments per week and the capability to handle larger shipments during emergency declarations. Shipment sizes can range from less than 5 pallets to over 24 pallets, with the majority being single stop trips. Suppliers must have the capacity for 24/7 availability and a 2-hour acknowledgment/pickup window, as well as the necessary Hazmat certifications and the ability to provide temperature-controlled transport if required. The contract term is undetermined and will depend on the Department's needs. Pricing is to be submitted based on the estimated average shipment, and the Department reserves the right to award to a single primary supplier or add a secondary backup supplier. Key deadlines include the bidder's conference on October 7, 2024, the deadline for written questions on October 16, 2024, and the proposal due date of November 8, 2024.
There is no incumbent or previous contract for this service, and the Department does not have historical data on delivery volumes or locations. The Department has not specified any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond, and the award value or budget range has not been disclosed. Interested suppliers must thoroughly review the RFP and all attachments, and communicate only with the designated Issuing Officer, Joshua Martin.
