About this file
This document is an Attachment with Questions and Answers related to a Request for Proposals (eRFP) issued by the Georgia Department of Public Health for Custom Freight Services. The eRFP seeks to establish a contract with one or more qualified suppliers to provide freight services, including white glove delivery, for medical equipment and supplies. The contract will cover an estimated 10 or more shipments per week, with the capability to handle larger shipments during emergency declarations. Shipment sizes can range from less than 5 pallets to over 24 pallets, with the majority being single stop trips. Suppliers must have the capacity for 24/7 availability and a 2-hour acknowledgment/pickup window. The contract term is undetermined and will depend on the Department's needs.
Pricing is to be submitted based on the estimated average shipment, and the Department reserves the right to award to a single primary supplier or add a secondary backup supplier. There is no incumbent or previous contract for this service, and the Department does not have historical data on delivery volumes or locations. Suppliers must have the necessary Hazmat certifications and be capable of providing temperature-controlled transport if required.
