About this opportunity
The City of Philadelphia is soliciting bids for corrugated trash boxes as a micro purchase with bids due September 25, 2026. Award will go to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, either as a whole or by line item at the City's discretion. Sellers must quote all items to be eligible.
The total quote amount may not exceed $45,000, adjusted annually by the percentage increase in the CPI-U from January 1, 2020, to the most recently published CPI-U and rounded to the nearest $1,000. The contract term is 365 days from the Effective Date specified in PHLContracts, with no automatic renewal. Pricing must be firm and fixed, exclusive of federal excise, transportation, and Pennsylvania sales and use taxes, with delivery at FOB Destination Point.
All quotations must be submitted electronically through PHLContracts by an authorized representative with a duly completed and signed Consent and Authorization Agreement. Quotes may not be modified after the bid opening date and time displayed in PHLContracts; however, the Procurement Commissioner retains discretionary authority to accept late quotes if they are the only response and deemed in the City's best interest. Payment is contingent upon delivery and City approval of products and is issued via electronic deposit.
Contractors must maintain Workers' Compensation insurance at statutory limits, General Liability insurance with a $500,000 per occurrence combined single limit, and Automobile Liability insurance with a $300,000 per occurrence combined single limit, naming the City as an additional insured with primary coverage. Sellers must obtain Philadelphia business tax identification numbers and comply with applicable business income and receipts taxes, net profits taxes, and city wage taxes. The City is exempt from sales and federal excise taxes. Sellers are instructed not to deliver products or provide services until officially notified by the department.
