The scope includes complete removal of existing fire alarm infrastructure and installation of a new addressable fire alarm control panel, photoelectric smoke detectors, heat detectors, combination smoke/carbon monoxide detectors, manual pull stations, notification devices (horn/strobe combinations and blue strobes for CO notification), and a VESDA Laser Plus 4-port air sampling device. Work also includes conduit systems, firestopping, integration with magnetic door holders and sprinkler flow/tamper switches, duct detectors in return air ducts, and three elevator recall coordination modules. Installation must meet NFPA 70, ASTM standards, and all applicable building codes. The contractor must obtain State Fire Marshal's Office approval and complete all system testing and commissioning. The school is located at 6055 South 2700 West, West Jordan, Utah.

Bidders must demonstrate project experience with at least five comparable projects, including owner contact information and cost documentation. A full-time Site Superintendent must remain on-site during all work; failure to maintain this presence results in immediate stop-work orders without grounds for delay claims or contract extensions. Construction work is restricted to after 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and after 1:30 p.m. Friday during the school year. A Bid Bond is required for bid amounts of $50,000 or greater. Subcontractors performing work valued at $5,000 or more must be identified and appropriately licensed under Utah State law. Contractors must maintain commercial general liability insurance of at least $1 million per occurrence and comply with E-Verify employment verification and non-debarment certification requirements. Payment is due within thirty days of invoice receipt. Bids cannot be withdrawn for 60 days from the due date. Questions are due June 19, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. Mountain Time. Bids are submitted electronically through the Bonfire Utah Public Procurement Place platform or by sealed envelope to the GSD Purchasing Department at 2500 South State Street, Salt Lake City. Contract terms are governed by Granite School District's General Conditions of Contract for Construction (Revision March 3, 2026), with a one-year warranty period for subcontractor work from Substantial Completion.
