About this opportunity

Mt. Olympus Improvement District is requesting proposals for Construction Manager/General Contractor services for the Utah Transportation Authority's Trunkline A Relocation Project (Task Order #1) and Trunkline A Resiliency Project (Task Order #2), with proposals due September 2, 2026. Attendance at a mandatory pre-proposal meeting and site tour on August 13, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at 3932 S 500 E, Salt Lake City, UT 84107 is required; failure to attend both the meeting and the full site tour will result in disqualification. At least one authorized representative from each proposing firm must participate.

The District seeks qualified firms to provide pre-construction services and, upon successful negotiation of a guaranteed maximum price, construction services for both projects. Although work is tracked under separate task orders to accommodate District accounting needs, the District prefers that a single CM/GC firm execute all improvements across both projects.

Work is located in Salt Lake City and Salt Lake County, Utah. The scope encompasses the Trunkline A Relocation and Resiliency projects; the complete RFP documentation available through BonFire contains detailed project descriptions, technical requirements, scope deliverables, and construction specifications. All written modifications to the RFP will be issued as addenda through BonFire only; statements made during the pre-proposal meeting or site tour will not modify the RFP unless formally incorporated in writing.

The source does not disclose estimated contract value, contract term, budget range, incumbent contractor, evaluation criteria, or set-aside or preference program details. Refer to the complete RFP document for comprehensive procurement requirements, pricing structure, financial terms, and all contractual conditions.

Opportunity text

Mt. Olympus Improvement District (District) is requesting Proposals (RFP) from qualified Construction Manager / General Contractor Services firms with the experience and expertise to provide pre-construction services and, if a guaranteed maximum price (GMP) is successfully negotiated, construction services for the Utah Transportation Authority (UTA) Trunkline A Relocation Project (Task Order #1) and Trunkline A Resiliency Project (Task Order #2). Work on the two projects is tracked under separate tasks (TO#1 & TO#2) to accommodate District accounting needs, but it is the District's preference for all improvements to be constructed under one CM/GC. This Request for Proposals (RFP) is being released to solicit pre-construction and possible construction services in accordance with the guidance set forth in the RFP. The District will conduct a Pre-Proposal meeting for those interested in responding to the RFP. Attendance at this meeting by at least one authorized representative of each Proposer is mandatory. Failure to attend the mandatory pre-proposal meeting and sign the District's attendance log will result in disqualification. The meeting will be held at 3932 S 500 E, Salt Lake City, UT 84107 at 10:00 a.m. local time on August 13, 2026. At this meeting, the District will offer information about the Project and the procurement process. Those who attend the Pre-Proposal meeting will have the opportunity to tour the Project site following the meeting to familiarize themselves with site conditions and constraints. Attendance at the site tour immediately following the meeting is also mandatory, and failure to attend the entire meeting and site tour will result in disqualification. Statements made during the meeting or site tour will not modify the RFP unless incorporated into a written addendum issued through BonFire.
