About this opportunity
The State of Maine is requesting bids on printing services for CareerCenter letterhead, envelopes, and business cards, with bids due September 8, 2010. A recycled-content price preference is available for bids offering paper or paper products containing a minimum of 30% post-consumer recycled material that fall within 10% of the lowest qualifying bid, with eligible bids receiving up to a 10% price preference.
The scope encompasses annual printing and delivery of letterhead (8.5" × 11" in 24 lb. recycled white bond), two styles of envelopes (#10 regular and #10 window in 24 lb. white wove recycled stock), and business cards (3.5" × 2" on 80 lb. recycled cover stock). All items are printed in two colors using PMS 187 and PMS 404 inks. Based on 2009 spending patterns, the contract anticipates approximately 115 orders of 500 business cards, 18 orders of 500 envelopes, and 13 orders of 500 letterhead throughout the contract period. Deliveries must be made to 12 different CareerCenter locations across Maine within 5–10 working days of order receipt. Vendors must include typesetting costs, provide proofs for all items, and submit monthly reports by the fifth of each month detailing all orders received.
The estimated annual contract value is approximately $5,600. The contract period runs from January 1, 2010, through December 31, 2010, with an extension clause permitting the State Purchasing Director to extend beyond the initial expiration date with contractor consent, to a maximum total contract period not to exceed three years. Pricing must be delivered FOB to all locations. The State of Maine Procurement Card must be accepted as a form of payment with no surcharges permitted. Ordering is conducted through the AdvantageME system via Delivery Orders, with orders of $5,000 or less emailed directly to vendors. The contract permits an overrun not to exceed 3% of contract value.
