About this opportunity
The Colorado Department of Corrections is soliciting documented quotes for camera equipment, surveillance accessories, and licensing to upgrade the security camera system at LaVista Correctional Facility in Pueblo, Colorado, under Solicitation DQ 2027000133. Written inquiries are due October 26, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. MST, and quotes are due October 28, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. MST via bidnetdirect.com. The source contains no set-aside, local-vendor preference, sole-source, or cooperative-purchasing requirement. Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business bidders must submit U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs certification documentation.
The scope includes 19 IP dome outdoor cameras (5MP fixed) and 42 IP dome indoor cameras (2MP fixed), with surveillance cabinets, junction boxes, connectors, conduit, 1,600 feet of Cat 6 plenum cable, and 61 Bosch licenses for camera and decoder expansion compatible with BVMS 11 and higher. Bidders may submit products of equal specifications and quality if approved for use and compatibility. Department staff install the equipment, and pricing must be all-inclusive with delivery to the facility on FOB destination, freight-prepaid terms. Additional components may be requested from any department facility during the award period. Awardees must be registered in CORE and provide Colorado Secretary of State good-standing proof and insurance certificates before Purchase Order execution. Contractor personnel accessing facilities must complete enhanced criminal background investigations, drug testing, and sign consent-to-search forms.
The resulting Purchase Order is a one-time purchase with the potential for up to four one-year renewals, not to exceed five years, contingent on appropriation of funds. Pricing remains firm during the initial term, though an annual increase not exceeding 2.5% per fiscal year may be included by mutual agreement. Award goes to the responsible bidder whose acceptable quote is most advantageous to the department, with price as the primary consideration and sample quality and lead time as additional factors. A Notice of Intent to Award is estimated for October 29, 2026, and the anticipated Purchase Order start date is November 3, 2026, or later. Invoices are submitted monthly by email by the 15th, and payment is due within 45 days of invoice acceptance.
