About this opportunity

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources Law Enforcement Division is soliciting quotes on one complete boat package—either a Boston Whaler 210 Guardian or an approved alternate Scout 220 XSF, each with outboard motor and galvanized tandem axle trailer—with quotes due July 31, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. EST under RFQ 260000000373. Addendum 2, issued July 20, 2026, introduced the Scout 220 XSF as an approved alternate to the original Boston Whaler specification.

Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOB) consideration is available for qualifying vendors who provide appropriate documentation.

Both vessel options must be 2026 or newer models. The Boston Whaler 210 Guardian is 21 feet 4 inches with an 8-foot 6-inch beam, 66.5-gallon fuel tank, and Mercury 150 XL EFI 4-stroke engine (or comparable 200 XL SeaPro V6). The Scout 220 XSF is 22 feet 3.5 inches with an 8-foot 6-inch beam, 84-gallon fuel tank, and Yamaha F200XD engine. Both include Garmin 943XS display and GT12M transducer, hydraulic steering, raw water washdown, dual battery systems, T-top hardtop, self-bailing hull, and comprehensive equipment packages. The Boston Whaler includes Whelen ION LED strobe lights, Whelen amplifier and siren, and carries a 10-year limited hull warranty. Both require white hull color with black identification and trim markings. Delivery is FOB destination to 1732 West M32, Gaylord, Michigan 49735, with pricing inclusive of all shipping costs. Bidders must be the manufacturer or authorized dealer/distributor. Production availability for the Boston Whaler is 150 to 180 days from purchase order receipt; Scout timeline details are incomplete in the specification. Requested delivery is September 30, 2026. Quotes remain valid for 60 calendar days from the due date. Payment terms are Net 45 days after invoice receipt via electronic funds transfer only. Questions are due July 27, 2026 to Lisa Crozier-Green. Submission is required through the SIGMA VSS system.
