About this opportunity

The Colorado Department of Corrections is requesting quotes for 50,000 yards of bed sheeting fabric under RFQ 2027000006, with quotes due August 7, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. Mountain Standard Time and anticipated purchase order execution on August 14, 2026. This is a one-time purchase for delivery to Limon Correctional Facility.

The fabric specification is light beige, 66 inches wide with finished edges, constructed with T-180 thread count in a 50% polyester and 50% cotton blend, weighing 3.5 to 4.0 ounces, with color fastness standard 4.0 capable of withstanding 180-degree commercial washing temperatures with less than 2% shrinkage. Fabric rolls must be individually wrapped and palletized containing 200 to 250 yards each, not exceeding 150 pounds per roll. Bidders must submit a sample of at least one yard in length at their expense prior to the closing date; samples may differ in color (white acceptable) and width from final specifications. Delivery must be completed within 60 days of order receipt, scheduled Monday through Thursday between 7:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. All pricing must be all-inclusive with no additional shipping, surcharges, or taxes; pricing must remain firm for one year, though the state may elect annual price increases not to exceed 2.5% per fiscal year.

Bidders must register with BidNet Direct before submission and complete all exhibits including Statement of Work, Required Vendor Information, W-9, Price Quote, Contract Performance Outside the US or Colorado disclosure, and Non-Conflict of Interest certification. Award will be made to the responsible bidder whose acceptable quote is most advantageous to the CDOC, with price as the primary consideration; sample quality and lead time may also be evaluated. Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses must submit appropriate certification. Contractors must obtain enhanced criminal background investigation clearance, proof of Colorado Secretary of State registration, and certificates of insurance with $1,000,000 per-occurrence Commercial General Liability coverage prior to purchase order execution.
