All work must minimize disruption to active police and fire operations.
Bidders must assign at least one Air Systems Cleaning Specialist (ASCS) certified technician, maintain active membership in good standing with a relevant trade association, comply with OSHA requirements and National Air Duct Cleaners Association guidelines, and obtain necessary state and local permits. All personnel must be vetted by the Meriden Police Department before work commencement. Prevailing wage requirements will apply. Each bid requires a ten percent bid bond, a notarized Non-Collusive Bid Statement, a Request for Status as a Meriden Based Business form, a Bidder's Qualification Statement, and a Performance Bond. Insurance requirements include Commercial General Liability ($1,000,000 occurrence/$2,000,000 aggregate), Business Automobile Liability ($1,000,000 combined single limit), Connecticut statutory Workers' Compensation and Employer's Liability, and Professional Liability/Errors and Omissions ($2,000,000 per claim/$2,000,000 aggregate).
