About this opportunity

The State of Georgia, through the Department of Human Services, Division of Family and Children Services, is seeking proposals for the Autism Respite Care Services (ARCS) Program. The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to obtain the services of one or more experienced and qualified suppliers that can organize, staff, train, coordinate, supervise, and deliver respite care services to families and/or caregivers of autism-affected children serviced by the State Entity. The selected supplier(s) will be required to train all respite care providers to competently meet the unique and complex needs of children with autism and their families, conduct criminal and employment background checks on all respite providers, and ensure providers are screened and cleared of all communicable diseases. The ARCS program aims to fulfill all respite care service requests from the targeted population within a 48-hour time frame, and data on program activity and utilization will be collected, monitored, and reported to the State Entity. Bidders/Offerors are strongly encouraged to attend the optional pre-proposal conference scheduled for September 17, 2024 at 11:00 AM EST via Microsoft Teams.

The ARCS program is funded through an annual appropriation from the State Legislature, and future funding is subject to reduction or elimination. The RFP does not specify any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. There are no details provided on incumbent vendors, current contractors, existing infrastructure, or technology integration requirements. The RFP also does not mention any possible award values or budget ranges for the ARCS program.
