About this opportunity

Alpine School District in Utah is seeking a centralized DNS (Domain Name System), DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol), and IPAM (IP Address Management) solution through an Invitation for Bids (IFB) posted on April 16, 2026, with bids due by Thursday, April 23, 2026, at 2:00 PM MST. The procurement encompasses three school districts—Lake Mountain School District, Aspen Peaks School District, and Timpanogos School District—which will result from Alpine School District's reconfiguration effective July 1, 2027. The solicitation seeks a three-year subscription for EfficientIP SOLIDserver software appliances (models 1170, 50, and 570) with 24/7 support services and SOLIDserver Administration training consisting of 12 hours of eLearning with six months of access to manage network addressing services across all district sites. The solution must provide authoritative internal name resolution, support conditional forwarding and split-horizon configurations for external name resolution, and automatically assign tracked IP addresses to networked devices including workstations, student devices, servers, printers, and wireless access points. The contract will have an initial three-year term with an option to renew for an additional three years, extending to a maximum of six years total. Bidders must submit responses through the U3P platform and are prohibited from communicating with Alpine School District personnel except through the Department of Purchasing procurement officer, with a question and answer period available for clarification. Bid submissions that do not meet all stated requirements will be deemed invalid and excluded from evaluation, and Alpine School District reserves the sole right to determine product equivalence and compatibility.

The solicitation contains no specific set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises or restrictions limiting bidder eligibility, though all vendors must certify compliance with Utah's anti-boycott statutes regarding economic boycotts and boycotts of Israel, certify non-debarment status, and confirm they are not providing forced labor products or technology from restricted foreign entities. Bidders may propose equal or superior alternatives to the specified EfficientIP equipment, and product samples may be required at the vendor's expense. All bids must include guaranteed pricing for the stated period, with any price adjustments requiring at least thirty days' advance notice and supporting market analysis documentation; pricing cannot be classified as confidential and is considered public information. Background checks may be required for vendor employees or subcontractors with access to secure facilities or sensitive data. The awarded vendor must honor the pricing provided to Alpine School District and allow any newly formed districts resulting from the reconfiguration to enter into an agreement under the same terms, pricing, and contract duration. The cost sheet provided indicates all unit prices and total costs are currently listed as zero dollars, representing a blank template awaiting vendor pricing submissions; specific budget or award values are not disclosed in the solicitation documents.
