The project encompasses approximately 6.3 acres and addresses dangerous slides, impoundments, and highwalls. Work must comply with Davis-Bacon wage rates; all work is federally funded in whole or in part. Addendum No. 1, issued July 16, 2026, added Item 5.10 for eight temporary rock check dams and increased timber mat skirt quantities from 1,060 to 1,165 linear feet.

The contract term is one calendar year with potential renewal for up to three additional successive one-year periods, subject to mutual written consent and approval by the Department and Attorney General's office. Contractors must submit a 5 percent bid bond and, if selected as apparent low bidder, must provide performance bonds and labor and material payment bonds each in the amount of 100 percent of contract value. A local labor market hiring requirement mandates 75 percent of employees from the local market. Liquidated damages are assessed at $1,000 per working day for delays beyond contract completion.
