About this opportunity

Weber County, Utah is soliciting competitive bids for the supply of aggregates and related materials for county road maintenance and construction projects throughout 2026. The procurement encompasses multiple material types including 1.5" crushed rock gravel, 1" minus crushed rock gravel, 3/8" natural sand/floor sand, commercial road base, 3" minus fill, 6" structural fill, and 3/8" washed road chips—all of which must meet applicable state specifications. Materials will be picked up by Weber County throughout the year, with bid evaluations considering material pricing, pit location, and any applicable fuel surcharges. Bidders must submit firm pricing for complete delivery of specified quantities on county-provided forms, with delivery time constituting a material element of the bid evaluation. The solicitation was posted on January 30, 2026, with bids due by February 12, 2026. Bidders must provide the physical location of their pit or extraction site as part of their submission, and the county reserves the right to reject any bid or request new bids at its discretion.

The bid terms and conditions do not indicate any specific set-asides for disadvantaged enterprises or minority-owned businesses; however, all bidders must certify they are not debarred, suspended, or excluded from federal participation and must comply with Utah's Status Verification System (E-Verify) for employment eligibility verification of any new employees. Contractors are required to maintain all professional and trade licensing mandated by Utah state law, with failure to obtain required licenses before bid submission rendering the bidder ineligible for award. The county will not reimburse bidders for delivery, drayage, insurance, permits, bonds, or other ancillary costs unless those costs are expressly itemized in the bid itself, and the county reserves the right to split or divide orders and accept any item or group of items unless the bidder specifies that unit prices are contingent upon acceptance of all items. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are identified in the available documentation, and no specific budget or award value is listed in the solicitation materials provided.
