About this opportunity
Paragraph 1:
The Central Florida Tourism Oversight District (CFTOD), a consortium of six utilities in Florida, is seeking qualified vendors to provide a comprehensive Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) solution through an Invitation to Negotiate (ITN) procurement. The District requires a solution that includes meters, endpoints, network, and headend system for its natural gas, potable water, reclaimed water, electric, hot water, and chilled water utilities. The project will be implemented in multi-year stages, with the first stage focused on the natural gas utility. Proposers must be able to provide AMI services inclusive of all the District's utilities and include infrastructure and implementation pricing for all utilities in their proposals. The scope of services outlines detailed requirements for meters, endpoints, network equipment, headend systems, software integrations, and IT/security standards. Proposals are due by February 15, 2024, with a non-mandatory site visit scheduled for December 7, 2023.
Paragraph 2:
The ITN does not mention any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. The current incumbent vendor and funding sources are also not specified. The ITN indicates that the District will evaluate proposals based on criteria such as personnel experience, project understanding and approach, cost, and references, with a preference for local, veteran, and opportunity zone vendors. While no award value or budget range is provided, the ITN states that the project is expected to be completed by the end of 2026, suggesting a multi-year, multi-million dollar contract opportunity.
