About this opportunity
The Mississippi Department of Mental Health is requesting proposals for LivingWorks suicide prevention training and implementation support with proposals due September 14, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. CST and anticipated contract award by September 30, 2026.
The scope includes delivery of Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) and safeTALK programs, Training for Trainers (T4T) activities, trainer mentoring and support sessions, and provision of LivingWorks training materials. The objective is to expand statewide suicide prevention capacity by increasing the number of trained community members, professionals, and qualified trainers able to deliver standardized education across Mississippi. The awardee must be authorized by LivingWorks to deliver these programs.
The vendor must submit a detailed, itemized cost proposal separately identifying costs for ASIST training delivery, safeTALK training delivery, T4T activities, trainer mentor sessions, participant and trainer materials, shipping and handling, travel, lodging, and any licensing or certification fees required by LivingWorks. DMH will authorize specific quantities and expenditures according to the final contract, approved budget, and applicable procurement requirements; no additional charges are permitted without prior written approval. Pricing should be structured to allow DMH flexibility to determine individual service costs and adjust quantities based on available funding and statewide need.
Evaluation is on a 100-point scale: technical approach and service delivery plan (30 points), pricing and cost effectiveness (30 points), demonstrated qualifications and LivingWorks authorization (25 points), and past performance on relevant projects (15 points). The anticipated contract start date is October 8, 2026, and contract end date is September 27, 2027. No site visits or bidders' conferences are scheduled.
