About this opportunity

The Kentucky Energy & Environment Cabinet is seeking sponsors and exhibitors for the 2026 Governor's Conference on Energy & the Environment, with proposals due August 14, 2026 at 3:30 p.m. EDT via MOVEit secure file transfer. The solicitation was originally due July 31, 2026 and was extended by amendment.

The Cabinet anticipates at least 250 in-person attendees at the conference on October 19, 2026, with a post-conference Kentucky Women in Energy Brunch on October 20, 2026. The solicitation accepts a maximum of five sponsors and twenty exhibitors across five pricing tiers: Commonwealth Sponsors at $10,000 (four conference registrations, one premium exhibit space, prominent website and social media recognition, and speaking opportunities); Goldenrod Sponsors at $6,000 (three registrations and similar benefits with reduced scope); Viceroy Sponsors at $3,000 (two registrations and basic recognition); Cardinal Exhibit Level at $500 (one exhibit space with two registrations); and Agate Exhibit Level at $200 (available to non-profit, university, and government entities, providing one registration). Sponsorship naming opportunities include the Networking Lunch, Conference Breakfast, Women in Energy Brunch, morning break, and afternoon break.

Proposals are evaluated on a 100-point scale: Responsiveness to Solicitation (20 points), Vendor and Background Information (20 points), and Partner Response addressing sponsorship interest and perspectives on energy and environmental development in Kentucky (60 points). A minimum combined score of 50 points is required for consideration. Technical proposals must include company information, background statement (150 words maximum), three separate 150-word position statements on conference sponsorship interest, energy and environmental importance, and observed evolution in Kentucky's energy or environmental conditions with a specific example of improvement, and optional additional comments (150 words maximum).

Selected vendors must submit payment within forty-five days of award notification. Vendors must complete a notarized affidavit for bidders, offerors, and contractors under KRS 45A.110 and 45A.115 certifying campaign finance law compliance and provide verification of authorization to conduct business in Kentucky.
