About this opportunity

The Kentucky Cabinet for Energy and Environment is soliciting sponsorships and exhibit participation for the 2026 Governor's Conference on Energy and the Environment, with proposals due July 31, 2026 by 3:30 p.m. EDT. The Cabinet will select a maximum of five sponsors and twenty exhibitors from respondents.

The opportunity offers five participation levels: Commonwealth Sponsor ($10,000), Goldenrod Sponsor ($6,000), Viceroy Sponsor ($3,000), Cardinal Exhibitor ($500), and Agate Exhibitor ($200). Sponsorship levels include naming opportunities for specific conference events—Networking Lunch, Conference Breakfast, Post-Conference Forum "Women in Energy" Brunch, and morning and afternoon break sessions. Exhibitor levels provide corporate or non-profit/university/government exhibit space. The conference takes place October 19–20, 2026, with the main event running 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on October 19 and a post-conference brunch on October 20. The Cabinet anticipates at least 250 in-person attendees, including industry leaders, government representatives, university professionals, attorneys, and students.

Respondents must submit a signed solicitation cover page, a completed Technical Proposal Form addressing background, sponsorship-level preferences ranked by priority, and written statements (150 words maximum each) covering interest in sponsoring the conference, position on energy and environment issues in Kentucky, perspective on energy and environmental evolution in Kentucky over the past 50 years with examples, and additional relevant comments. All submissions require a notarized Affidavit for Bidders, Offerors, and Contractors under Kentucky Revised Statutes 45A.110 and 45A.115.

Proposals are scored on a 100-point scale: Responsiveness to Solicitation (20 points), Vendor and Background (20 points), and Partner Response (60 points). Proposals scoring below 50 points are not considered. Selected vendors must pay in full within 45 days of award notification. Submissions are electronic via MOVEit to https://ftp.ky.gov. Barry Stigers is the sole point of contact at Barry.Stigers@ky.gov or 502-782-0345.
