About this opportunity

Catoosa County, Georgia is soliciting sealed bids for the Dietz Road at Boynton Drive Traffic Signal Improvements project, with proposals due on October 9, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the Catoosa County Government Building. The procurement is for a comprehensive infrastructure project involving the addition of turn lanes and associated traffic signal upgrades, requiring contractors to furnish all necessary materials, labor, tools, and equipment for a complete installation. Bidders must purchase contract documents from CTI Engineers, Inc. for $100 per set and be listed on the engineer's plan holders list, with documentation requirements including submission of a 5% Bid Bond, a valid Georgia State Contractor's License, and proof of worker's compensation and general liability insurance. The contract documents can be examined at CTI Engineers' Chattanooga, Tennessee office, with bidders required to provide detailed contact information including mailing address, physical delivery address, telephone number, contact person, and email address. Upon contract award, the successful bidder will be required to furnish performance and payment bonds meeting the specifications outlined in the contract documents.

The solicitation does not explicitly indicate specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises. Bidders must submit a current Business License or Occupational Tax Certificate and register in a federal work authorization program. While a specific budget range is not disclosed, the requirement of a 5% Bid Bond suggests the project has significant financial scope. Surety and insurance companies must meet specific rating and licensing requirements, indicating a preference for financially stable and qualified contractors. Catoosa County reserves the right to accept or reject any proposals, waive formalities, and re-advertise if necessary, providing flexibility in the procurement process. The project appears to be a public infrastructure improvement initiative focused on enhancing traffic flow and safety through signal and lane modifications. Contractors interested in this opportunity must demonstrate technical capabilities, financial stability, and compliance with local and state regulatory requirements.
