About this opportunity
DeKalb County is seeking a financial advisory services contractor through RFP 2025-048, with proposals due on May 29, 2025. The county intends to establish a three-year multiyear contract with a qualified municipal financial advisor to support various financing transactions and programs, specifically complying with Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act requirements. The selected financial advisor will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic financial approaches to address the county's long-term financial needs, with assignments structured on a task order basis. Key deliverables will include providing advisory services for debt management, completing specific financial transactions, and offering strategic financial guidance. The financial advisor must demonstrate expertise in municipal financial planning, have comprehensive understanding of SEC municipal advisor rules, and possess the capability to support complex financial strategy development. The procurement process will involve a comprehensive evaluation of vendor qualifications, with proposals to be thoroughly reviewed for technical competence, financial stability, and proven experience in municipal financial advisory services.
While specific set-aside designations are not explicitly detailed in the provided documentation, the procurement appears open to qualified financial advisory firms with demonstrated municipal finance expertise. The contract does not specify incumbent vendors or existing technological infrastructure requirements. Potential respondents should anticipate a comprehensive vetting process that will likely assess their track record of municipal financial advisory services, depth of municipal finance knowledge, and ability to provide strategic financial guidance. Although specific budget ranges are not disclosed, municipal financial advisory contracts of this nature typically range from $100,000 to $500,000 annually, depending on the scope and complexity of required services. Interested firms should carefully review the full RFP documentation to understand the complete requirements, submission guidelines, and evaluation criteria for this financial advisory services opportunity.
