About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 17 is seeking a firm-fixed-price construction contract to demolish and replace stairs and ramps at the Sam Rayburn Memorial Veterans Center in Bonham, Texas. The project involves removing and repairing ramps and stairs at Buildings 1, 2, and 10, and installing a concrete pad at Building 8 due to existing infrastructure being too steep or damaged for safe veteran and employee use. Contractors must provide all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and supervision, and submit a work schedule and access plan to minimize disruptions in high-traffic areas. The Request for Quote (RFQ) will be posted on February 4, 2025, with quotes due on March 12, 2025, and a projected project duration of 180 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. Evaluation will focus on meeting the specific infrastructure improvement requirements and compliance with VA verification standards.
The contract is set aside exclusively for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) under NAICS code 238110, with a small business size standard of $19 million. The estimated contract value ranges from $25,000 to $100,000, representing a relatively small-scale infrastructure improvement project. Contractors must be both verified and visible in the VA's Center for Verification and Evaluation (CVE) system prior to submitting offers, with failure to meet this requirement resulting in a non-responsive proposal. The point of contact for this opportunity is Nicholas Smith, who can be reached at Nicholas.Smith21@va.gov. Potential bidders must carefully review the verification requirements and ensure they meet all SDVOSB certification criteria before submitting their quotes for this critical veterans' facility improvement project.
