The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 21 seeks construction services to modernize generator systems at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, with proposals due May 29. The procurement is set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses.
Place of performance is Honolulu, HI 96819. The project involves installation of backup diesel generators (300 kilowatts for Building 30, 200 kilowatts each for Buildings 32A and T-1 East Wing), fuel storage and distribution systems, electrical switchboard retrofits, automatic transfer switches, fire alarm upgrades, chain-link fencing, and utility corridor electrical conduit work across three buildings.
Technical requirements include generators with Modbus RTU or TCP/IP communication interfaces for building automation system integration; factory-engineered double-wall fuel containment piping; NiCAD starting batteries (sealed lead acid substitutes not approved); chain-link fencing 6 feet high with galvanized steel specifications; and as-built information certified by a state professional surveyor. Spare parts requirements include six sets each of lubricating oil filters, primary and secondary fuel oil filters, and intake air filters per generator.
