About this opportunity
The Department of the Army, specifically Army Contracting Command - New Jersey (ACC-NJ) in support of the 99th Readiness Division, is conducting a Request for Information (RFI) for drop-in Childcare Services to support the Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program (YRRP). The procurement seeks to identify capable companies that can provide childcare services during up to seven annual weekend events for Service Members and their spouses. Key contract requirements include serving children ages 0-12, maintaining appropriate child-to-caregiver ratios, conducting comprehensive background checks, and implementing strict safety protocols. The RFI evaluation will focus on contractors' understanding of the draft Performance Work Statement, demonstrated capabilities, relevant experience, and ability to deliver services across multiple locations including Atlantic City, Baltimore, Boston, Washington DC, East Rutherford, Hershey, and Philadelphia. Interested companies must submit written responses by 10 AM EST on March 14, 2025, to Contract Specialist Christopher Naylor and Contracting Officer Christina Elardo.
The procurement does not have a specific small business set-aside designation and is currently classified under NAICS code 624410 for Child Care Services. The contract structure includes one 12-month base period with two 12-month option years, representing a potential three-year engagement. While specific award values were not disclosed, the RFI requests contractors provide a rough order of magnitude cost estimate to help the government understand potential pricing ranges. The total service requirement involves providing childcare for approximately seven weekend events annually, with each event spanning Saturday and Sunday sessions. Contractors will be expected to provide all necessary personnel, equipment, supplies, and implement comprehensive safety and accountability measures, including preventing unauthorized child pickups and maintaining appropriate health and supervision standards. The government's primary objective is to determine market interest, capabilities, and potential pricing for these specialized childcare services supporting military families.
