The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 6 is seeking information regarding the installation of a campus generator system at the W.G. Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury, North Carolina. This Request for Information (RFI) is a Sources Sought Notice designed to identify potential contractors capable of executing a comprehensive generator installation project. The scope of work includes constructing a new 6,300 square foot generator building with associated fuel tank yard, installing three stand-alone generator units with integrated controls, and implementing advanced features such as fuel polishing systems, blast-rated louvers, and comprehensive environmental and safety controls. The project requires a 420-calendar day performance period with a one-year warranty upon completion. The generator system must be capable of providing 96 hours of continuous power utilizing two 20,000-gallon above-ground fuel storage tanks, and construction must incorporate noncombustible Type II building design standards.
