About this opportunity
The Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Orlando VA Healthcare System, operating under the Department of Veterans Affairs, is seeking to lease approximately 9,995 contiguous rentable square feet of clinical office and related space in Tavares, Florida. The primary evaluation criterion is cost-benefit analysis, whereby the government will assess whether leasing new space is economically advantageous compared to remaining at its current location, considering factors such as relocation costs, tenant improvement replication, telecommunications infrastructure, and agency downtime. Key requirements include space availability by January 25, 2026, location within specified geographic boundaries in Tavares, and submission of expressions of interest to Contracting Officer Brittany Rodriguez via email by October 31, 2025, at 4:00 PM. Required submission information includes building name and address, total rentable square feet available, expected rental rates per rentable square foot on a fully serviced basis, parking availability, energy efficiency features, and building services offered. This pre-solicitation notice was posted on October 27, 2025, establishing the response deadline of October 31, 2025.
This opportunity carries no set-aside designation and is not restricted to any specific business category. The lease term requirement is twenty years total, with five years constituting the firm commitment period, providing substantial long-term stability for the successful lessor. No specific award value or budget range has been disclosed in the pre-solicitation notice. The space requirement of approximately 9,995 rentable square feet represents a medium-sized clinical facility lease, with the fully serviced rental rate to be determined through competitive market response. The government's consideration of alternative space only if economically advantageous indicates that the current location remains a viable option, meaning proposers must present compelling cost advantages to secure this lease opportunity.
