WY-SHOSHONE POWERPLANT ROOF REPLACEMENT
Update #3 ·
Work is located at Shoshone Powerplant, in Park County, Wyoming approximately 4.5 miles west of Cody, Wyoming. The power plant is located near the base of the Buffalo Bill Dam along a Government-owned restricted access road adjacent to North Fork Highway (State Route 14, 16 and 20) in the Shoshone River Gorge,
The Shoshone Powerplant was constructed in 1922. The power plant roof is in its original state and is past its 20 year service life. Without replacing the roof decking & materials, leakage may occur and become uncontrollable, causing significant water & corrosion damage within the powerplant.
The principal components of work to be performed under these specifications include the following:
1) Removal of existing roof ballast, haul to off-site location, stockpile and grade;
2) Removal of existing asbestos-cement underdrain pipes and asbestos weatherproofing materials from roof deck;
3) Clean and prepare the roof deck to receive new roofing system;
4) Install new roof deck drainage system including the replacement of perforated underdrain pipes, removal and replacement of drain well structures and cleaning of catch basins;
5) Furnish all materials and perform all work to install new roof waterproofing system across entire roof deck; including all roof accessory elements;
6) Install new EPS Geofoam and ballast system on roof deck;
7) Provide manufacturer’s warranty of workmanship and materials for all components of the roofing system.
