About this opportunity
The Air Force Test Center Installation Operational Contracting Division at Eglin AFB, Florida has issued a Special Notice announcing their intent to award a sole-source, firm-fixed price contract to SiTech South LLC for a Wingtra One Small Unmanned Aircraft System (SUAS). The contracting division plans to acquire one complete SUAS unit with accessories under NAICS code 336411 (Aircraft Manufacturing) with a size standard of 1,500 employees. The anticipated award date is September 25, 2025, and the procurement is justified under 41 USC 1901 as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) with an approved FAR Part 13 Single Source Justification. This acquisition supports the 96th Civil Engineering Group's requirements for survey-grade data collection capabilities in remote regions. The system must meet stringent DoD security requirements by being listed on the approved "Blue List" of cleared drone systems.
The purpose of this Special Notice is to inform industry of the government's intent to proceed with a non-competitive procurement while soliciting any responses that might demonstrate other contractors' capabilities to provide the required system. The SUAS must be a Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) system capable of 1cm accuracy data collection, equipped with Post Processing Kinematic GPS antenna, RGB and oblique camera systems, and a control tablet. Key technical specifications include a 1.8-pound payload capacity, wingspan under 4'2", 6-mile radio range, 59-minute minimum flight time, and autonomous flight capabilities with automatic return-to-launch functionality. All written responses must be submitted by 12:00 PM CDT on September 25, 2025, and should clearly document the offeror's capability to provide the required items at no cost or obligation to the government. The notice emphasizes that this is not a request for proposals or quotations, and the government retains sole discretion in determining whether to proceed competitively based on any responses received.
