About this file
This Government Technical Requirement Document (TRD) details specifications for a Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) Small Unmanned Aircraft System (SUAS) for the U.S. Air Force. The required system must be a single VTOL SUAS with precise technical capabilities, including 1cm accuracy data collection, Post Processing Kinematic GPS antenna, and ability to receive GPS and GLONASS signals. Key technical specifications include a 1.8-pound payload capacity, wingspan under 4'2", radio range of 6 miles, 59-minute minimum flight time, and 99 Watt-hour battery capacity.
Additional requirements mandate the SUAS be listed on the 'Blue List' of approved systems, include RGB and oblique camera systems, and a tablet for remote control. The system must demonstrate autonomous flight capabilities with mid-flight operator intervention potential and automatic return-to-launch functionality if communication is lost. Delivery terms specify FOB Destination at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida, with a 120-day delivery timeline after receipt of order. The document emphasizes the need for a high-precision, survey-grade unmanned aircraft system capable of hosting multiple sensors and providing reliable operational performance.
