About this opportunity
The Department of Agriculture Forest Service is conducting a sources-sought for vault pumping services at the White River National Forest, with responses due July 31, 2026. This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside; only small business concerns are eligible to respond.
The requirement covers septic pumping service at sixty-four vault toilets (sixty-three 1,000-gallon vaults and one 500-gallon vault) across twenty-four US Forest Service managed recreation sites located in Eagle, Garfield, Pitkin, and Summit Counties, Colorado. Vaults are to be pumped when they reach 80% capacity, with 90% of vault content removed. Generally, vaults require at least one pumping per year, though some sites require multiple annual pumpings. All vault waste must be disposed of at a commercial treatment facility off National Forest Lands.
Respondents must provide capability statements demonstrating ability to cover the entire White River National Forest, including volume pumped at each site and documentation of any discrepancies or abnormalities (cracks, chips, vandalism, or broken hatches) at vault locations. Performance is distributed across twenty-four geographically dispersed recreation sites in central Colorado's mountain region, accessible via multiple Interstate 70 exits and Forest Service roads. The NAICS code is 562991 (Septic Tank and Related Services), with a small business size standard of $9 million. Submit capability statements to curtis.r.landreth@usda.gov. Maps and driving directions for all twenty-four sites are attached.
