About this opportunity
The National Park Service (NPS), specifically the Intermountain Region, is conducting market research to identify potential contractors for emergency operations services at Yellowstone National Park's West Entrance area. The services will encompass primary structure fire, emergency medical services, and rescue operations for remote park sections east and north of West Yellowstone, Montana. Interested contractors must provide a capability statement including their Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) and physical address, with submissions required via email by April 7, 2025, referencing project number 140P1425Q0025. The market research targets multiple business categories, including large businesses, small businesses, 8(a) certified, HUBZone, service-disabled veteran-owned, women-owned small businesses, and Indian small business economic enterprises. Contractors must be prepared to provide all necessary labor, supervision, materials, equipment, and professional expertise to meet National Fire Protection Association Standards for staffing and response times.
The procurement falls under NAICS code 624230 (Emergency and Other Relief Services) with a small business size standard of $41.5 million, and no specific set-aside has been designated for this opportunity. The contract will require service providers to cover emergency operations in specifically defined service area demand zones, including remote, rural, and rural wheeled-access areas, as detailed in the attached geographic map. This is currently a market research phase and does not constitute a formal solicitation, meaning no commitment to issue a subsequent Request for Proposal (RFP) has been made. Potential contractors are encouraged to carefully review their geographic proximity to the service area and their ability to meet stringent emergency response requirements. The NPS will use the submitted capability statements to determine the most appropriate acquisition strategy for this critical emergency services contract.
