About this opportunity

The National Park Service seeks a wastewater treatment plant operator for Yosemite National Park, with quotes due August 18, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time. This is a 100% total small business set-aside under FAR 19.104-1. The operator will manage a 105,000-gallon-per-day facility with aerobic and anoxic basins, clarifiers, sand filters, chlorine disinfection, and SCADA-controlled systems operating year-round. The contract runs August 23, 2026, through December 26, 2026 (approximately 18 work weeks), on a 40-hour basis, typically 4/10-hour days Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday, 0630–1700 hours. The contractor must provide transportation and arrange lodging (Oakhurst recommended) and supply uniforms and steel-toed footwear. Scope excludes equipment repairs, sludge hauling, lift station work beyond the SOW, and emergency call-outs outside normal hours.

NAICS code is 221320 (Sewage Treatment Facilities); small business size standard is $35 million in average annual receipts. The wage determination specifies $26.95 per hour plus $5.55 per hour fringe benefits for Sewage Plant Operator WG-9 in Mariposa County. Award will be a firm fixed-price contract to the responsible offeror whose offer is most advantageous to the government based on price, technical capability, and prior experience. Offerors must register in SAM, submit signed SF 1449, acknowledge all amendments, provide a two-page project narrative, and furnish three references from similar projects completed in the past five years with current contact information. A prior similar award to WaterTalent LLC was valued at $300,000.
