About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Air Combat Command is seeking vertical transportation equipment (VTE) repair services at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in North Carolina. The solicitation requires a comprehensive maintenance contract that includes all management, tools, supplies, equipment, parts, and labor necessary to maintain, repair, and inspect elevator systems to ensure continuous and safe operation. Contractors must provide detailed technical proposals demonstrating their ability to perform complex elevator maintenance across multiple base buildings. The evaluation criteria will focus on technical capability, past performance, and price, with specific instructions for offerors located on pages 45, 47, and 48 of the solicitation. Proposals are due by December 4, 2024, with potential contractors required to submit various supporting documentation including financial statements, references, and contractor responsibility determination materials.
The contract is specifically set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs) who must be certified by the Small Business Administration in the System for Award Management (SAM). The incumbent contractor is The HP Group LLC, who previously held a five-year contract with a total value of $246,318.12, including $37,261 for over and above work. The new contract will have a base period of 12 months with up to four additional 12-month option periods, effectively allowing for a potential five-year service arrangement. Performance will occur at Seymour Johnson AFB in North Carolina, with the specific work covering multiple buildings and elevator systems that require regular maintenance, repair, and third-party inspections. Contractors must also be prepared to navigate base security protocols, with initial security pass processing potentially taking 30-60 minutes.
